API / Rest API

All data across all systems

Our open API solution gathers all data across systems to deliver optimal value. Regardless of the functionality of the third-party solution, you get an ideal fit for older buildings with diverse protocols of varying ages.

Our REST API provides access to all parameters and values ever logged by our system, including real-time data. This allows you to monitor and analyse your data live, ensuring you always have the most current information.

  • Additionally, our API allows you to access virtual parameters created with our "Smart Functions," providing deeper insights and more sophisticated data analysis.
  • Our API isn't just about reading data; it allows you to write values back into the system, offering full control over your data management processes.

Remote Access

Complete control, wherever you are

Access the facility from the office or while on the move. Log in to check alarms, settings, and energy consumption, or troubleshoot remotely – enabling you to adjust multiple buildings and systems at once, and perform optimisation directly in the software.

IWMAC Remote Access is a service that allows you to connect to customer network equipment. It involves a standalone application that the end user must download and run, rather than a purely browser-based solution.

The service operates on the device and can, upon request, connect to iwmac.net to receive instructions. It functions as a proxy, directing traffic from the end user to the chosen equipment, using either a set of fixed (predefined) IP addresses and ports or dynamic ones discovered by scanning. The IWMAC Remote Access app also connects to iwmac.net, setting up TCP servers at localhost addresses and routing traffic to the service at the facility. If the user has Remote Access privileges, the app can be launched in three ways.

With Remote Access, you can:

  • Monitor and manage alarms, settings, and energy consumption in real time.
  • Troubleshoot remotely, reducing downtime and service costs.
  • Optimise multiple buildings and systems directly in the software – no need to be on-site.

Whether managing one site or several, Remote Access gives you the flexibility and control you need.

How to use Remote Access in IWMAC

MQTT

IWMAC uses MQTT, the leading IoT messaging protocol, for fast and reliable communication with hardware within refrigeration, HVAC and manufacturing.

Thanks to a native MQTT integration, you can connect directly to the IWMAC cloud, enabling comprehensive monitoring and control without additional integration effort.

Security

By investing heavily in security measures to create a safe user environment and protect sensitive data, we continue to enhance our customers' cybersecurity and reduce potential attack threats.

All products on our platform ensure high security for building data and offer a safe user environment with Multifactor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO).

Cloud hosting

IWMAC's cloud solution is hosted by Atea, one of the largest hosting providers in the Nordics. They are certified under ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and ISO 14001 and operate according to ITIL. All data is authenticated to ensure secure transfer between the gateway and the cloud.

Data in our cloud solution is stored across two data centres and is backed up daily, with the infrastructure of the data centres monitored 24/7. A high-availability (HA) cluster setup protects all components (firewalls, routers, switches).

Multifactor Authentication (MFA)

Multifactor Authentication (MFA) is a security process that requires users to provide two or more different types of verification to access an account, adding layers of protection beyond a simple password.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Single Sign-On (SSO) is an authentication method that allows users to log in to multiple applications and websites with a single set of credentials. Our platform has SSO and the same interface and layout across the board. This ensures a consistent experience, making it easier for you to work with and move smoothly between our systems.
