Tell us about your current role at Kiona and how you got there.
I currently work as Head of Sales and Projects for Energinet in DACH countries and have worked for Kiona (Cebyc) since April 2014, so it's been 11 years now.
I’m originally from Karlsruhe, Germany, and live with my family in Düsseldorf. I have a master's degree in business administration (M.Sc.) and am certified in Energy Management (EnMA-TÜV).
Before joining Kiona, I held several roles in project management and sales in both Scandinavian and German companies. I have worked with sustainable technologies and holistic solutions and had experience with both medium and large companies (17,000+ employees), as well as in an international energy consultancy in Düsseldorf.
What does a typical day look like for you?
My daily tasks vary depending on the project, but they typically include a mix of sales, customer support, and project management. I handle direct sales, work with partners, and manage key accounts. I also train industrial clients on our Energinet platform and provide ongoing support.
A big part of my role involves product presentations, project management, contract negotiations and tenders. I also determine measurement points and the necessary hardware at customer locations, ensuring everything is set up correctly. Additionally, I work on system configuration and logistics and adapt our Scandinavian products to the German market.
I also represent Kiona as an energy management expert at major trade fairs like E-World in Essen, EuroShop in Düsseldorf, and ISH in Frankfurt.
What do you like the most about working at Kiona?
For me, Kiona is an open and reliable employer. I really appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow alongside my colleagues.
I especially enjoy working closely with our product & development, and marketing team. The strong teamwork, flexibility, and collaboration make our work more efficient and sustainable, which I find inspiring.
If you were to choose one Kiona value that resonates the best with you (Trust, Curiosity or Creativity) – which one would it be and why?
All three values are important, but if I had to choose one, it would definitely be Creativity. Creativity allows us to develop unique, innovative solutions that set us apart from the competition. My approach is always to find creative, efficient, and modern digital solutions – not just for our customers but also for us as “Kionians”.
