New: Surfact integration

Many face the challenge of collecting accurate temperature data, especially where wired infrastructure is difficult or costly to install.

We are partnering with Surfact to solve this with ISO 17025-certified temperature sensors with built-in 4G connectivity.

Pharmaceutical-grade precision

Surfact's sensors are 3-point calibrated according to the ISO 17025 standard, which qualifies them for critical applications in pharmaceuticals, food and sensitive goods. This ensures documentable accuracy that meets regulatory requirements.

Flexible use – both fixed and mobile

The sensors can be used both as fixed monitoring points in buildings and as mobile tracking devices. This means that the same sensor can track temperature-critical goods from cold storage, through the entire transport chain, and to the receiving cold storage – with uninterrupted temperature logging and GPS tracking. Perfect for documenting the entire cold chain.

Practical benefits

  • In older buildings where cable installation is difficult or expensive, 4G sensors provide the same data quality as wired equipment without interfering with the building structure.
  • In critical rooms (server rooms, cooling systems), they function as an independent backup solution that alerts you even if the building's main network is down.
  • 2+ years of battery life minimises maintenance requirements.
  • The sensors send data directly to the cloud, and with our new integration, the data is retrieved directly into IWMAC via API.

How does it work?

Surfact sensors are equipped with built-in modems (NB-IoT/LTE-M). You place them where you need to measure temperature, and they immediately start sending data over the mobile network. Each sensor acts as its own gateway and establishes a direct, encrypted tunnel to the cloud.

When a sensor triggers an update – based on time interval or event – the data packet becomes available via API. IWMAC integrates these data points into your existing structure, so that a Surfact sensor appears as any other system component.

How to get started

If you have access to Surfact sensors, we connect the API keys directly to your IWMAC installation so that the values go straight into your dashboards and alarm lists.

About Surfact

Surfact develops advanced IoT solutions for critical monitoring. Their wireless sensors are ISO 17025 certified and monitor temperature, movement, light and shock via the mobile network without local gateways. With a battery life of 2+ years, GPS tracking and pharmaceutical-grade precision, the sensors can be permanently installed in buildings or used to track goods throughout the supply chain for complete temperature documentation.
