Tell us about your current role at Kiona and how you got there.
I joined Kiona in 2017 and am a Technical Project Manager. I ensure that everything runs smoothly after our Edge services have been installed. This means I verify that projects meet expectations in terms of quality, operation, and customer training.
Before joining Kiona, I studied Energy Engineering. While studying, I also worked extra as a cashier and as a student coach for younger students.
What do you do in your everyday work?
Besides managing projects, I'm also part of our Edge support team, answering calls and helping customers/partners/installers directly. On the side, I get to dive into exciting internal initiatives like "Skill Up & Swap”.
A workday is a great mix of customer interaction, teamwork, and learning something new almost all the time.
What do you like the most about working at Kiona?
Every day brings something new, and I get to work with customers/partners/installers and technology. Kiona also offers endless opportunities to grow within the company, which is a big plus. But honestly, the best part is the people. The office vibe makes it easy to show up with a smile and just as easy to leave with one.
What's one thing about your work that you think people might find surprising?
Probably that I've been able to shape my role around my interests. It's not about ticking off a fixed task list, it's about developing a role that fits you, which keeps things exciting and personal.
If you were to choose one Kiona value that resonated the best with you (Trust, Curiosity or Creativity) – which one would it be and why?
Creativity, because even heating centrals deserves a little color and spark sometimes!
