A smarter way to prepare for EPBD requirements

The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) is raising the bar for building performance across Europe. Property owners need better visibility into their buildings, clearer investment priorities, and a structured approach to planning improvements.

The new Energy Target helps you turn energy ambitions into practical action.

From targets to investment decisions

Knowing that a building needs improvement is one thing. Deciding what to do first is another.

Energy Target lets you create and test investment cases before committing to a plan. Use ready-made templates for common energy measures, including heat pumps, heat recovery, AI-based optimisation and window upgrades, or build your own scenarios from scratch. Adjust your expectations, compare outcomes and identify where your investments are likely to have the greatest impact.

The result: a clear path from strategy to action.

One place for your entire energy plan

With Energy Target, you can view heat, hot water and electricity in a single workflow. This gives you a more complete picture of how different measures affect overall building performance and helps you make better-informed decisions.

You can:

  • Set energy targets for individual buildings or portfolios
  • Plan and prioritise energy measures
  • Compare planned improvements against actual performance
  • Track results over time
  • Build a long-term roadmap for energy efficiency investments

All in one dedicated module.

Designed for the challenges ahead

As EPBD requirements become part of national legislation, property owners need reliable data and a structured approach to planning. Energy Target helps you understand your current position, identify priority buildings and create a realistic improvement plan.

Savings example

For example, installing an exhaust-air heat pump with heat recovery can reduce energy consumption by 18 kWh/sq m.

New in this release:

  • An indicative A–G energy class based on the building's performance, so you can spot priority buildings faster. (According to national standards)
  • A guided setup for investment cases: select buildings and a time period, choose actions from templates or add your own, test and visualise the expected impact, and adjust the figures before finalising.
  • Combined planning for heating, hot water and electricity.
  • Comparable yearly kWh/m² and CO₂ figures remain comparable even when the heated floor area or emission factors change.

It is important to note that this is not an official energy certificate but a planning aid to support prioritisation.
