Karlatornet – Scandinavia's highest building

Karlatornet, located in Gothenburg, is the tallest building in the Nordic region, standing at an impressive 246 meters. As part of the Karlastaden district, this 74-story skyscraper combines residential, commercial, and hotel spaces in a modern, high-rise environment.

Project overview

Karlatornet features an HVAC system with zoned control, ensuring energy-efficient heating and cooling. A district heating and cooling system is integrated to reduce the carbon footprint.

The control of the HVAC system is managed through our SCADA system Web Port. Web Port enables real-time monitoring, connection of technical systems and products, and continuous analysis of energy use, troubleshooting and optimization. The system collects data from sensors that track temperature, air quality, and energy consumption throughout the building.

Smart and efficient climate control

The system can automatically adjust ventilation flows, heat pumps, and chillers to ensure optimal climate conditions with minimal energy consumption.

Thanks to a centralized control panel and cloud service, building operators have even greater flexibility. Whether on-site or remote, they can monitor and manage the system, ensuring quick reactions to problems and improving overall reliability.

Web Port is also designed to grow with future needs. It supports integration with third-party systems, products, or platforms, providing a scalable solution as new technologies or requirements emerge.
