We're always looking for ways to improve our platform and help partners work more efficiently. That's why, a couple of years ago, we launched the Idea Portal to help bring your ideas to life.

Many partners and customers across Europe use our solutions daily. As users of any system or solution, missing a feature that could improve the service is common. We know our customers have valuable ideas on how to improve our platform. By combining our own ideas with your feedback, we can develop stronger, more impactful solutions.

The Idea Portal

This is why we introduced the Idea Portal. The portal is designed to be easy to use and accessible for all users with a Kiona ID. Once signed in, you can submit new ideas for a selected product. Our workflow makes it simple to track the status of your idea. You can also comment on or vote for ideas – whether yours or someone else's.

This is how it works:

Working together for better solutions – we bring our partners' ideas to life with our Idea Portal

Proof of concept

Since launching our idea portal in 2023, we have received over 172 improvement ideas from our partners and customers. Ten ideas have been implemented, and more than 400 votes have been cast.

Here are a few examples of ideas that have come to life!

Edge + Export Alarm cards
Alarm cards are an effective way to identify issues in your portfolio. For example, one of our partners wanted to be able to export all active alarm cards to Excel. This idea received many votes, and we agreed it was a great addition. As a result, we have now introduced the feature to export all active alarms from the cards to Excel. This helps you manage current issues and plan your next steps using a tool you're already comfortable with.
Web Port + Schedules
Improved group control of time channels in Web Port. We have introduced features for weekly schedules and special periods at the group level, along with a new transparent status for time channels that belong to the group. This allows you to add common events at the group level while letting each connected time channel operate according to its original weekly schedule.
Energinet + Flexible dashboards
In response to community feedback, we introduced a major upgrade to Energinet: Flexible dashboards. This enhancement enables creating and sharing standardised or customised reports and dashboards. Other roles needing quick answers can then access these without lengthy setup.

IWMAC + Export alarm history
After a partner's request, we have developed a new feature that allows users to export the alarm history for any plant in the Operation Centre. This feature lets you export and analyse the data alongside other sources in your preferred spreadsheet or data analysis tool. View how the alarms occur over time: When did the alarm trigger, when did the support or responsible personnel respond, and what was the total lead time for the different alarms?

Keep the great ideas coming

These are just a few of the ideas we have received from our partners that have been released. So, there is no reason to wait if you have ideas to enhance your work and our products – keep the great ideas coming.
